I've seen in these forums people embed a Youtube video. I've tried to use the embed code provided by Youtube, but that doesn't work and just shows a bunch of HTML. So how would I embed a Youtube video on here?

(youtube)xyz(/youtube)
replace () with [] replace xyz with the last bit of the html address of the video you wish to embed. For example, if it's this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpmOJhzKqeo then xyz becomes vpmOJhzKqeo (youtube)vpmOJhzKqeo(/youtube)

I agree.
But it still wont stop the question being asked. ![]() It's hard to provide information to people in a way that they'll actually find it. Much as people go on about using the Search before posting, you can often put in the most obvious search string to answer your question, and not find an answer, and yet - there'll have been plenty of posts about that topic... you just didn't choose the right words...

Just to clarify cosmichobo's post:
[ youtube ]<youtube id goes here>[ /youtube ] The YouTube ID is the gibberish at the end of the YouTube URL. Oh, and get rid of the spaces.
