I laugh derisively when people tell me to watch/read Stephen King...

And I hate Amazon and others who have the "If you like this, you may also enjoy..." lists...

But yes, subjectivity is all really. I'd never watched Casablanca cos... well... if I am going to sit in front of a telly by choice to something, it'd more likely be scifi... Though I do have to say, I loved watching the film... but possibly only due to the "oh, I know that line" feeling that I had pretty much all the way through... It felt like a comfy old slipper.
