Help me find a residential property valuer

Hi all,

We need to find a residential property valuer (not a real estate agent!!) - selling a property in Adelaide (Cowandilla) privately and need a valuation which we can use for cross referencing what we are being offered (already have a good idea).

Also need the valuation for taxation purposes.

Definitely worth their money for an independent at the moment. We had friends put in an offer which was accepted and was well within the range advertised, the valuer went in last week and it turns out the house is valued 30k under the lowest range....another one went in and almost same value so houses are dropping like flies with prices and agents are in complete lala land still counting their $$$ and overpricing like no tomorrow.

Hi Geoff,

The valuers I know all work on the eastern seaboard, but the national ones may have offices in Adelaide. Try Propell and/or LMW Residential. Don't pay more than about $350 depending on the value of the property. Our guys normally charge us $220.00 but on volume.
