Got it in one there Spargo! Holy crap, its Tuesday, must give out another cash bonus..

The media is carrying on like its the only bad storm Brisbane has ever seen

Anyway the rain gauge at home said we got 39ml on Sunday, but it was nowhere near as bad as the Christmas Eve 2002 storm when we lost power for over 24 hours and there wasn't a gum tree left standing in the suburb..

We are in The Gap. No damage to the house, but fences were blown away.
Two days with no power. Still Telstra land line down. Funny enough, the net is working.

Still waiting for an insurance assessor to come look at things.

It has not been a fun week...

Geez thats no good

The rain gauge said we had 115ml (Camira) but my uncle out at Rosewood had over 220ml and the place is just a mess.

Trying to get to work this morning was a nightmare. ICB was flooded. One of the little side streets next where I live at Spring Hill was closed - total mess to get out of my area. In the end I went up Ann St! Faster through the city!

Maybe you slept right through it!

I'm just around the corner in Greenslopes/Stones Corner and it bucketed down for a couple of hours. Thankfully live on the 3rd floor, but must have had a river go through our ground-floor foyer. in one door and out the other. Not to mention I could see the high-tide mark on my garage floor.

A few people called in "natural disaster leave" at work because their houses got flooded.

[edit] I'd be crying right now if I didn't have a roof. This rain is as heavy (or worse) than last night!

OMG You guys can't take a trick with 3 strikes, and maybe one more to come!

Let me extend a big...

I hope everyone is and will stay safe through all this, and that you all can pull through with the extended help on its way.

Well it seems like it's our turn tonight. They're forecasting storms for the Sunshine Coast this afternoon and evening. Will see how it all pans out! 4 storms in 4 nights - must be nearly a record?!

Storm 1 Tae 2
My roof commenced leaking last night in the storm - very tired but at work. I think it was more wind than real leaking, but it was enough.
Have someone coming in this arvo - hopefully it can be fixed before Saturday's storms and tonight's rain.
At least it was over the kitchen.

Well, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining...

The Subaru that was flooded after the Wednesday storm was a write-off. Insurance paid out within a week an a little less than two weeks later we have taken delivery of a brand-spanking-new Mazda CX-9. At least the storms have given me the chance to waste some money on a new car.

I don't understand why nobody has built a pipeline to go back to those lakes in other states xD

Instead they want to take our water from the country :/
