My mum tells me this true story...
Walking down the street yesterday, past a Pub with TAB nearby/part of, she sees a balaclava clad guy with a gun enter the TAB, she quickly ducks into a nearby shop and asks the store guy there to call the police.Least to say she was in a state of panic about the whole thing when she saw what she thought was a crime in progress. Questions... 1) Why wasn't there anyone around to control or manage any public impact? 2) Why the signs were not put up earlier? 3) Shouldn't filming of anything that could been seen as a crime be registered with the police, so their time is not wasted. All of the above ![]() If it was a cop carrying a gun that saw this instead of my mum, the actor could have been shot at by the cop.

Of course, but still it could have been a sticky situation anyway.
The actor could have been Tasered maybe!

I'm curious. If I had witnessed this and not seen cameras/stuff, I don't think I would have just reported it and then walked away. I would have waited until I knew it was safe to go out.

Maybe, not sure myself, I suppose you had to be there, or be in her shoes.

I wish I knew.
I could only speculate that it might be that new Ch 9 "Crime Scene Re-inactment" with Steve what'shisname, that I saw ads for when watching Fringe.

I would've shat myself!
Are you in Melbourne? Could be Rush? (side note: awesome show!) At least it ended well, and wasn't real - A few years back I was at a party and saw two blokes casually walking down the street dressed in black with a backpack - oh and fully masked with balaclavas. Call the police, told them the details etc. Got a call 3 hours later asking if I still needed the police. Found out later that week a person in that street was robbed =[And steals all the Macs they seem to have.

The tacticlol episode shot at Moorabbin Footy oval was opposite my dad's place. My brother said that it got super annoying due to them shooting towards their house. He wasn't able to leave, go outside, or have the windows open. Wasn't even allowed to play music. Apparently they had to film the shooting scenes a few times and the sound of fake weapons got tiresome after a while. I'm not buying it as a serious cop show. has nothing on water rats. Even the Tacticlol scenes in underbelly were better scripted. W2ttsy |

As a local I keep picking holes in that show. In the first episode there was a scene with a car accident where a car went over a cliff. It was filmed on a road that's mostly closed to the public (across the river from Dights Falls).
It's all just a carbon copy of stuff that's gone before it... we have the various cops, the crusty old sarge, the by the book officer brought in to tidy up the department, and the comedy relief guy who's job it is to support the others on their "missions". The only thing they need is the blood spatter expert who's a serial killer on the side.

I love picking places in the show... alas we are off topic.
So true, Waterrats kicked ass! And I was 10 at the time! (I think it was on Tuesdays 9:30 as well...)

Or the robber put that sign up to make everybody think it was all O.K so he can rob the place in peace.
