Default Illustrator redraw glitches

hey guys,

I know there's more than a couple of illustrator/adobe CS gurus around, so I thought I'd ask a quick question :

I'm currently making a bunch of logos and stuff in AI (CS3) and finding that some parts of the screen aren't redrawing properly when I pan/zoom around.
By which I mean, pieces of the artwork are missing blocks.

The problem goes away if I zoom in then back out, or if I pick up an object and wave it over the affected area.

It's a bit annoying, to say the least. I can't find any options in Illustrator Preferences for display drawing (other than a slider for the hand tool).

Anyone come across this before and know what's up?

Example :

Click the image to open in full size.

The white rectangle that seems to be drawn over the top of the other stuff should NOT be there. It's not a vector object either, it's a screen artifact! It will go away if I pan/zoom.

Cheers
Jeremy
