The Blueant ST3 works fine with the iPhone 3G, but the iPhone 3G lacks the capability to transfer contacts via bluetooth, and thus transferring the contacts across does not work, so you don't get the cool feature of the ST3 telling you who is calling, although it does read out the number.

I have been in communication with Blueant about this, and have also tried a few workarounds, such as syncing with another device and trying to share the phonebook, but this does not work, as the contacts are synced with the specific pairing of the device.

Until somebody develops an app (may not be within the terms of the SDK) to allow bluetooth transfer of contacts, then this feature of the ST3 will not work with the iPhone 3G.

(It does however work with the original iPhone, just not on software version 2.)
