MacTalk Photo Competition 004 Details
Competition number: 004
Theme: Water
Opening Date: Sunday June 1
Closing Date: Sunday June 22
Upload your entries to: Photo Competition 004
Details:
This month's topic was chosen by swoffa, and your task is to take a photo relating to water. It's a pretty broad category, so lots of opportunity to get creative and think outside the square! Upload your photo to the gallery, but please register first!
When the registration form asks for your full name, please use your MacTalk username, not your actual full name! If you do not do this, your account will not be activated!
This is really important, and unfortunately many people still ignore this little bit of info!
All the best!
---

With the amount of rain the sunny coast has been getting over the last few days, we shouldn't have too much trouble finding something to photograph Goodbye

Tell me about it! I think the problem is getting out there in the rain!

Rain...What's that! I think I read about it once.
Hey Goodbye. You'll need to delete my photo. I took it yesterday, so it's not eligible.

Questions relating the comp. Are the photos edit free? ie. Straight from the camera to the upload with no hinkiness, effects or tools?
Water is so me, just wish it would stop raining so I can go diving and get some super shots

Swimming here in Brisbane as well. Thank God for some rain. I work a the Botanic Gardens in Mt Coot-tha and it was looking sad until this weekend.

I don't think there is any problem editing a photo before posting it. My view has always been that people can do whatever they want to the image and then it is up to the voters to decide what is a photo as opposed to "digital art". If an image has been post-processed nearly to death then I suspect it won't get many votes in the comp.
cheers.

Looks like my picture is first off the rank.
Paul
I found these growing near the edge of the stream flowing through the gardens at Mt Coot-tha where I work.
Things were very sad as it was so dry but the heavy rain on the weekend has spurred on new life and regeneration in a very short period.
I saw these on Wednesday when I working with a school group and I went back today (Thurs 5.6) to get a photo before they completed their life cycle.

OK I'm in.
I think everyone's forgotten about this due to iphone hype
Hey Kyte, I was "red top taxi 1 2 3..." myself. Have you posted the others you were debating somewhere so we can have a look?
I'll put a couple of mine on the random page.

And yes, there are some on my website: I'll post a couple more shortly, about time I did, I am over the iPhone nonsense now
( OK Done)
