Sounds good, are we putting a prize in this one or just making it casual?

The prize offered for the last competition was a one off. There may or may not be prizes for future competitions, but this one is definitely Prize Free™.

I have edited the first post with where you can upload your entries to.

You will need to register (link on the top right hand side of the page). It is very important you register with your MacTalk username, otherwise I won't know who is who!

Once you have logged in you will see "Add Item" on the left hand side. Use that button to upload your entry.

I *think* I registered the other day to get the ability to upload a picture, and I'm pretty sure it told me that I'd get an email soon. I've not had an email (and I'm pretty sure I used an active email addy)

Anyone else managed to get registered ok?

I've re-requested my password on the system as it's not letting me log in with what I think are my details - still no email however.

Sorry about that, when Currawong set this up for me he forgot to tell me that I have to manually accept registrations. All those who registered have been activated now!

Does this include the use of Photoshop or any other manipulating programs? Not that I'm any good with the program but perhaps it may put an unfair advantage to those who are excelled beyond adjusting brightness for example.

It's up to you really. It should be just about the photography, but basic photoshopping (sharpening, moderate adjustment of colours, cropping etc) is fine, just don't go overboard

Er.. dam. I've uploaded my entry thinking that because I'm logged in it will note who uploaded the image - yet it doesn't seem to have done that. Or is there an administrator upload list?

Fair point... But a little difficult to police, don't you think? Unless we all sub our originals too...

Time to get the Nikon out, and tell the other half that I am not going shopping with her this weekend!

To quote one of the photographers I work with: "Photoshop is not the magic pill to make a bad photograph good, but you can take a brilliant photograph, and make it as s*** as you want!"
