For the record, another Sonic fan here, still have the Megadrive from way back in 1991 so this podcast was pretty easy to relate to.

My mum threw out my Megadrive back in 1993 after I failed a test due to playing it too much. (Yes, she threw it on the floor, smashed it and threw it in the bin). I am on the lookout for one though, I've got games to relive! Might pick up a Megadrive II off eBay. (I already have a Master System - my mum didn't destroy that

)

Best Sonic is Sonic 3 IMHO. I also remember Sonic & Knuckles, which you could plug your older Sonic games into, and be able to play them with Knuckles, haha

Yep, the majority of them sound like total arse. People buy them because they're convienient. Plug in iPod, music starts playing, enjoy. I kinda want one to have to use in the backyard/garage and pop in an old iPod with a load of music (don't want my iPod Touch getting all scratched), but I'm not that desperate for one just yet. I've wanted to do a huge comparison of iPod speakers for a while, maybe I should start collecting some, hmmm.
