just so you know, itunes dont list podcasts submissions with less than 3 episodes.
i'm enjoying the criticism, please add to it people.
my 2c, i much preferred the second half to the first, where the conversation flowed more and people were talking about the things they personally were interested in...

Nice work... and the homage to Boots Randolph (who recently died for those who don't know) in the centre was Podcasting gold!
My points:
- A tad too soft at the start, I was sitting with my ear to the speaker to hear some things
- the echo that came and went took away from what you guys were talking about
- good choice of topics, obviously stuff that's close to your hearts
- I liked the bookmarks... made it easy to get back to things

Can someone tell me a time in the podcast where the echo is? I can't say I noticed it while listening back to add in the bookmarks.

Ahh, yes - that I am aware of. That's a combination of an air conditioner (whoops) and microphone newbies (all of us except Marc, hah).
We'll get better about that the more we go on.
I think having the gear we did helped a lot (MOTU 8pre and 4x Shure MX418 micrphones) too.

- See if you can get a theme tune and work on introducing the podcast with the name, etc... and close the podcast by thanking everyone for participating, etc...
- Submit it to iTunes and post a direct link to the file in the post (you can't see the download link via the RSS feed in FireFox, but you can in Safari)

We should be right regarding the echo for next time. We'll also make sure the air con is turned off.
We should also be able to sort out some kind of theme music. Good feedback, thanks.

i think it wasnt to bad for a first go, id suggest just adding a few production things such as a theme some segway music, and watching mic techniques and youll be rocking, what would be brilliant even for a possible future ep would be an australian apple rep to discuss all thing mac aussie related.
p.s and tighten up your editing make it more seamless.

Do you know any good resources to instruct me how to do it? I've never edited audio before (this was my first shot) and I want to learn

I thought it was a very interesting podcast. I was expecting it just to be a rehash of news that I'd already heard, but i was surprised at how relevant you made it to australia etc. Good show

Please don't waste my time with intro music. Just start the damn thing already.
I'm still not sure why intro music has become a requirement for a podcast these days, it's really annoying.
I also think it's a bit too long, but then I already told decryption that
