- If you have an unlocked Optus iPhone, then you can insert and use as many SIMs as you like, including Optus and Virgin.
- If you have a non-Optus iPhone, then it is locked to that carrier, e.g. Telstra or Vodafone.
- If you have an unlocked, non-Optus iPhone, then you can insert and use as many SIMs as you like, including <insert non-Optus telco here>. This includes Optus and Virgin.
Bottom line? Unlocked = unlocked.
