Default Keen to share my clipboard across multiple macs on a local network

I've just recently setup my two macs (laptop and mac mini) side by side and I find myself using both for all sorts of things and it'd be really handy to share the clipboard data between the two.

I know about Syncopy and pastebot Pastebot isn't what I want, syncopy looks close. (I haven't fully tried out syncopy yet though).

The problem with the two apps above is they have a large iPhone/sync focus. Is there a mac app that's not so iPhone focused and works over wifi/bluetooth on a local network between two (or more) macs?.

I'm not so keen on running all my copy paste through the cloud either I'm just after an instant local network/bluetooth solution.

Cheers,

Screen sharing can do it, it would be a pain but it is possible. You run it on one computer and there are little buttons up the top - get remote clipboard contents & send clipboard contents to remote clipboard. It's probably a pain but it does what you need to do

Synergy (Synergy) will share keyboard/mouse and clipboard but at this stage it's text only for clipboard sharing. I'd still recommend it though as it means you can use the same keyboard and mouse across both macs.

edit: in addition to synergy you could also try this ClipboardSharing - Share clipboard data between Macs - Mac OS X Hints

Teleport is much better than Synergy, but I'm not sure if it will sync clipboards until you attempt to "control" the other machine. Are the computers right next to each other, or quite separated?

Those both look like good options, although ClipboardSharing is an OS 10.3 app and Synergy *might* be a bit overkill.

I'm going to look tonight, will report back.

After sifting through the interwebs last night and so far this morning, i've come across PTHPasteboard that was apparently developed by @tapbot_paul and does much much more than what I need, but syncs your clipboards.

According to David Olrick it's good. Will try now.

I own and regularly use PTHPasteboard. However, I recently obtained a copy of Clips as part of a MacHeist promotion. It doesn't have some of the more complex options of PTHPasteboard but has a nice, easy to use interface.

Food for thought.
