iPhone SDK for iPhone 2.2 available now

iPhone Dev Center

Makes sense... new iPhone OS today, new version of the SDK.

1.56 Gb, so I hope everyone who was at sexpo the iPhone tech talk today still has some bandwidth left on their broadband... you'll need it.

Has anyone using xcode & iPhone SDK downloaded the 2.2 specific documentation set - i get:
"Failed to subscribe to documentation feed at http://developer.apple.com/rss/com.apple.adc.documentation.AppleiPhone2_2.atom."
no love there - perhaps Apple dev's haven't uploaded them yet???

EDIT: it is not up and available yet according to the big-time dev's on irc.
EDIT 2: It is up now!

Jase.

I think I may just stick with the 2.1 SDK. In Australia, us folks have tiny broadband limits, so I wouldn't be surprised if others did the same.

For those using the new iPhone SDK for 2.2 including xCode 3.1.2,
the Apple iPhone OS 2.2 (specific) documentation set is up and available now!
(surely you already know, but in Xcode go to: Help > Documentation and there down the left sub-window you'll see doc sets, from where you may do alot more downloading!!!).

Interesting news re the video output class in the 2.2 SDK.

From what I can understand you can have control/interface elements on the iPhone's screen and different video output via the cables to a TV.

Which to me sounds perfect for gameplay. Imagine the iPhone screen with buttons for choosing weapons, while the TV shows the POV for a first person shooter... and direction control decided by moving the iphone around in space kind of like a wimote.

Killer... except that the iPhone TV out seems to be limited to 15fps.
