For the last few days I have been unable to access Updates Available in the Applications section of iTunes.

iTunes indicates that I now have 24 updates available.

I can browse the iTunes store with no problems. I can purchase new Apps with no problems. I can "re-purchase" Apps with no problems. I can search the store, read reviews, etc all with no problems. But I cannot access available updates for my Apps.

I get the following message:

"We could not complete your iTunes store request. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active then try again."

I've tried everything I can think of. I've disabled my firewall software and the Windows Firewall software. I've rebooted the PC. I've double checked every connection. I've even tried running the diagnostics in the iTunes Help section. When I do this it shows no problems. Here is the summary at the end:

Connection attempt to Apple web site was successful.
Connection attempt to iTunes Store was successful.
Secure connection attempt to iTunes Store was successful.
Secure connection attempt to iPhone activation server was successful.
Last successful store access was 2008-11-21 13:10:39.

It is a work laptop running Windows XP Professional.

This has been going on for a few days now. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
