Google iPhone Voice Recognition

Hey there, for anyone who's tried the new Google Maps app, how is it going with understanding the Aussie accent? I've heard it's having problems - what are some of the examples of the simple words that don't get picked up correctly by the google software?

(Planning to use this in a possible story)

Hey Asher, try looking at this thread

For one thing, you have to say Mell-born to get it to understand Melbourne.

Saw that thread but wanted to create a new one to get some more experiences specifically about the accents and to make the post more visible...

I've tried it with my mild irish accent and it didn't work too good with that either. Fake american is the way to go. Which is not good if you have to use it in public.

Totally agree. Waste of time at this point. Tried 10 searches it didn't get any of them. Refuse to have to use an accent.
