havent JB myself..so cant try..
but very interested on what JVM is actually installed?
does it have Swing? or ol AWT?
is it 1.5 version?!
that will be cool if AWT or Swing was included..
but then again....another hack has to happen to start up the app....

There's no support for GUI stuff apparently.

I was just interested if I could hack together a version of Tomcat or Glassfish and write web apps in Java + HTML/Javascript.

I might give it a go tonight and hopefully don't kill my iPod.

that will be cool if u could do that..
at least if u have tomcat then...in principle you can have ur "web" app at least hosted on ur local device...
i think that might be the best way to get Java in the iphone...
if u have at least a servlet outputting a hello world text..than it will be awsome...
so do u know what JRE are they using? is it pre 5 version ?

Mac OS X has up to version 6.
