Hey, this one just came up, and it seems kind of interesting.

The application is officially a Branch/ATM Locator, but it's incredibly clever in the way it does it (IMO), at least for an obligatory we're-better-than-ANZ sort of way. The description for the app in the app store is:
Now you can find a St.George Branch or ATM on your iPhone. The St.George Branch/ATM locator will locate the nearest St.George ATM or branch from your current location utilising GPS technology on your iPhone. Alternatively you can enter in your suburb or postcode and the application will give you a list of the closest St.George Branches or ATMs near that location. This application does not require you to enter your address. Application Features: * The only complete resource available on the App Store with all locations of St.George Branches and ATM's * No Internet connection required to locate your nearest St.George Branch or ATM. * Reach the Lost or Stolen Card line at a touch of a button. * Provides our contact information, branch hours and general information. * Uses iPhone 'Maps' to display St.George Branches and ATMs on a map or get directions* * Also compatible with iPod Touch. * This application is free. Coming Soon St.George Mobile Internet Banking for your iPhone! *Internet connection may be required when using the 'iPhone Maps' application.
I'm liking that Aussie businesses are getting involved, and clearly hiring iPhone devs. And this should start a marketing war between ANZ, who have already expressed interest in the iPhone, and St.George, who are the first to have a native app.
UPDATE: ANZ New Zealand make a fairly awesome looking banking app, which pretty much guarantees it's coming a subject of interest. Check it out here -

And ANZ recently added more features to their iPhone web app, meaning you can send transactions. A native app can't be too far off.
