Love it and it's well worth the $4 for the offline componet.
As someone that works smack between two stations I'd love the 'Near me' function but unfortunately by the time the app has crashed seven or eight times when I click on a station I find myself having to commit to one or the other anyway. a Favourites list would get around this but I'd really just like it if it didn't crash quite as incessantly.

Hi dminieri. What do you mean by type?

Still not certain what is causing it, but we've put in the prevention of the crash. That function has been ported over to the free version whilst we were waiting for the approval. Try downloading it and see if it is resolved. Version 1.1 when it's approved will also have the same prevention measure. Let me know how it goes. Thanks.

Thanks W9cae. Trams and buses (beta still due to the performance) are introduced in version 1.1 of our app which is currently under review at Apple. Should be out any moment now.

1. One feature I'd kill for would be choosing a start station, an end station, and seeing when trains from A->B are departing A and arriving at B. I frequently have to change the train I catch home from work, and as I can't see which trains are arriving from the city at Ringwood East, it means I have to scroll through all of the Southern Cross Lilydale departures until I find one that is at the time I want.
2. Are you sure the timetable data is accurate? I'm pretty sure there are no trains the terminate at Heatherdale station. But a lot of them are listed as such, from City -> Lilydale.
3. Just a minor aesthetic thing. The "station name" icon probably doesn't need the text "Station" on it?
Otherwise, awesome app, has been very handy.
Good job

Hi Baraqyal and welcome to Mactalk
1. We don't have immediate plans to make a trip planner at the moment, but based on some of the suggestions made are looking at ways to clicking through to find the different times for connecting stations. Currently looking at it for a v1.2 update
2. I'm not quite sure what you mean by your question. Could you send me how you reach that data and the time to metroiphone@gmail.com and I'll try and figure out what you're seeing.
3. That icon is gone as of v1.1
If you're got any other issues etc feel free to email me at metroiphone@gmail.com or send me a private message. Thanks.

Sorry guys for those waiting for trams and buses. It will take at least another week. The update was rejected <had other things, but realized that it was part of the NDA....>
Anyways, apologies to everyone who's been waiting for this update.

Sorry to anyone waiting for the Sydney one. We were expecting it to be released today but got the unfortunate RE-JECTED email from Apple due to minor issues. Although it was fixed in 5 minutes, it's another week before we can get it reviewed again.
Annoying for us, but in the long run I guess it's a good thing that they're looking at the apps very carefully.

Be careful what you say! Rejection letters are now under NDA
Just a question Comet, i asked you before....
I downloaded MetroX for melb, and i love it, but ever since i got it, one of my programs keeps accessing data in the background. Are you 100% sure it cant be MetroX? I want to eliminate it as the cause so i dont have to delete it.
Refering to:
Something using data in background!!

Wow, can't believe I missed this until today. Australian-centric stuff like this should really be hitting the MacTalk front page!
It's going to be great watching both Metro and the eventual iTransit app evolve.

Hi guys. After playing ping-pong with Apple, version 1.1 is finally approved and up on the store. This updates got the trams and buses.
Just a note up front, buses are a bit slow due to the amount of data it is going through to find the specific information. 1.2 onwards should improve in speed. Please let us know if you find anything with the app. Thanks!
