I think some topfield PVR's support IceTV. But regardless, if yours doesn't then I'm pretty sure it would require a firmware update. Nothing to do with IceTV.

The Topfield 5000 can't be remotely scheduled unfortunately.

The Topfield 7100 can though, as can the Beyonwiz PVRs, EyeTV and Media Center PCs running Windows Media Center.

andytlr's right... if you'd like to see this feature added then please contact Topfield directly.

Are you asking if the IceTV service and IceTV iPhone app works with EyeTV Lite? Or something else?

Cool. Make any big changes or just bug fixes?

Haven't read the whole thread, but the placement of the back button when viewing a program is awful, just make the button where you pick the date change to a back button.

Other than that the app's amazing.

The hardware's irrelevant, it works with the EyeTV software, which Elgato tuners use.

I would like an easy way to find out what is currently being shown on all channels.

As far as I can tell it only tells me what is currently starting, not what is currently in play.. (please correct me if I've missed it

The change list:

As a lot of the app is server based, we've been able to do some things already (you'll see these changes when using 1.0 or 1.1):
- Make the spacing a little larger, making it easier to tap the correct show name.
- Fix a couple of remote recording bugs (specifically one relating to users with 2 or 3 devices linked to their IceTV account).
- Some other nice UI and spacing tweaks.

However, we required a new app version for some other things:
- UI Improvements, including a better transition from list to detail views and new headers.
- When launching, the app now opens on the tab you were previously using.
- A direct link has been added to the login page to register a new account. This also opens up an iPhone specific web form, to make registering easier.
- Added a help page explaining the use of the application with a link to our website for more information.

The version 1.1 screenshots are already up on the store

This is fixed in version 1.1. We'll continue to improve the app over time too... so if you're having any problems with it or have suggestions, then please get in touch.

I think the one thing I've found is that i might be at work and decide to program my Eye TV, but the setting hasn't sent through - and i'm talking about recording something that night that i've set about 8am in the morning...is it meant to take that long to reach the server then my computer ?

I could be wrong but I think it is a matter of how often your device (Mac/PVR) is accessing the server. Have a look in the settings and see if you can change the frequency of fetches. I think my Beyonwiz does it at least every hour.

I have an idea that I would like to see with this app:

When you have favourite shows, it would be good if a badge was displayed over the icon in the menu when one of your favourite shows are on. Anther idea was have a small alert, like in iCal, just to remind you that one of your favourite shows is on or coming on.

Just an idea I would put forward.
Other than that, fantastic app!

Something's not right there. Do you have EyeTV set to check for remote recordings? It can be set to daily, every 3 hours or every hour. The IceTV server allows for even more frequent checking, but Elgato have chosen 1 hour as the minimum check time.

For more info, please see this IceTV support document: How long does it take to remotely schedule a show?

We've certainly thought about iCal events etc. Not planned any time soon, but you never know...

The update has hit the App Store.

I just had a bit of a play with it. Working great. Love having the lines between shows. Loading on where you were last time is great. The only thing I'd still like to see is the change of day to be cyan like it is in search. With so many upcoming shows I often miss the grey change of day bar.

I just love the IceTV App. Many thanks Marc.

Just so others know, the good folk at Elgato are working on a iPhone app:
EyeTV Lounge • View topic - EyeTV on iPhone - Tell Us What You'd Want

I don't expect it will have much more options than remote scheduling, etc.
