Marc, if you guys are going to consider doing it by channel rather than time. Could it be an option rather than a change. I like seeing it by time. If it is 10pm I want to know what's on at 10pm on every channel.

We definitely wouldn't lose the view by time. It's the most useful view (well, according to all the people working on it!).

View by channel might be nice though.

I don't generally find/make the time to post platitudes but in this case I'm happy to make an exception. THIS IS FANTASTIC!!!!!

Having only purchased my Elgato Diversity on the same day the app was available, it has been great for me to learn and incorporate both.

This experience has really made me re-consider how I'm going to set up my HT set-up. My Toppy 5000 is still my favourite toy - but not being able to set favourite shows/reacordings is a bummer -but thte Elgato with ICEtv wil allows this.....

hmmmmmmm.....

Well done all at ICEtv - perseverance in the face of adversity pays off.

Marc,

As is the case with the rest of the service from IceTV this app is great.

One thing I noticed though is I had both my Mac with EyeTV as a device, as well as my Vista Media Centre.

I chose to record a movie on Media Centre, but after I selected Media Centre from the drop-down and hit record, the page stated it was going to record on my Mac.

I ended up having to delete my Mac from devices in my account settings and now it (the status) shows it will record on my Media Centre.

Is this a backend bug or one in the app?

Thanks,
Shane.

Little tip, if your using Eye TV, remember to go to Preferences/Guide/Remote Scheduling and set your update time appropiately, I.E. If you remember at 5pm that you want to record something on at 6.30 and you have set your Remote Scheduling update to 3 hours, guess what!?! Yep, it won't record.

I set mine to 1 hour, although I wish there was either a push option, or every 30 mins.

I'm not exactly sure what the bug is yet. Seems like either a display bug (which wouldn't be serious) or some other bug when using more than one device. Either way, it's in a part of the app that's controlled from the server side, so we should be able to fix it very quickly and without the need for anyone to update the app on their phone.

Please keep the bug reports rolling in... we'll be dedicating as much time as necessary over the coming weeks to squash them all as fast as possible.

Marc,
I am getting multiple listings for each show on each channel?, someone else here mentioned the same problem, but as yet you have not responded with an answer. Is there a way to fix this?

Number 2 on free apps! Average of 4 stars from 42 reviews. Pretty bloody good.

Is that due to you seeing the SD and HD channels? It could also be due to the region you're in... some regions have access to different versions of the commercial stations.

For example, if you're in the Centeral Coast, you might be able to receive:
- Southern Cross Ten Northern NSW
- Southern Cross Ten Northern NSW HD
- Ten - Sydney
- Ten - Sydney HD

IceTV lists everything in your region you might have access to.

You can change what channels are shown by changing the settings under My Account on the IceTV website.

not sure if this has been asked, but will there be Tivo compatibility when the Tivo comes out?

Very unlikely. IceTV would like to work with TiVo though... so feel free to email them and ask

We've been working on tidying things up a little. Quite a few changes have already been made (these will be reflected straight away... no update for the app needed).

Marc,

These changes look very nice.

One thing i've noticed while using this over the weekend while watching the Olympics, is that it's hard to know what is actually on TV right now. The TV guide says "Olympics 12pm-6pm" and lists details of what's on in the content, but when you look it up at say 4pm, it doesn't say what is actually on right now.

Looking good Marc. Search seems to be working a bit smoother now too.

I really like the cyan day indicators that come up in search. I'd like to see those in the 'Upcoming' section. So that it is clear when you've moved to the next day.

Funny you should mention that... I had a discussion with another IceTV staff member about this today. The answer was that the events being shown are unknown until the last minute as the coverage tends to follow Australian athletes.

It's a shame, but I imagine other TV guides will be similar.

Thanks. There's a chance the headers might get added to the upcoming page too.
