I'm with Optus and the update went ok but with the normal carrier setting update issue. All the mobilme stuff still seems to be working.

I just reimported my contacts off my SIM after restoring to 2.0.1.
I just noticed in the "Mail, Contacts, Calendar" settings menu under the Calendar subheading there is an option "Default Calendar". You can choose either Home or Work. I swear it was not there before the update. Or was it there and I did not notice it?

Hey I got this as well, I happened to be on the phone to apple at the time, they said as long as everything is working not to worry about it.
Everything seems fine to me since the update, so meh.

I got the same error message as above, but everything else seems to be fine..... Except this whole No Service crap thats happening with Optus every now and then.
(It was doing it prior to the update so Im not too fussed that it was the update, more Optus network struggling again)

Just did the update. I am with Optus postpaid and all went well including the carrier update. Took a while though - I was very nervous as I only got the phone yesterday and am still honeymooning :-)

Yep, got the carrier update error - but all is working fine. Am also on Optus, post-paid and locked. No biggie. My sms'ing wasn't that slow before - doesn't seem to be much different now either. Hmmmm....

you've used makeitmine haven't you?
i assume that if the carrier update failed, it wouldn't have changed the element that controls that information
that or you are a lucky person to have kept your jailbreak active

Reception hasn't improved for me at all (Vodafone), at home it hovers between 1 bar and No Signal. Same as before the update.
I don't really need 3g reception at home (I use wifi), I just wish the phone would switch over to 2g instead of staying on No Signal. It won't let me make phone calls and when people call me it goes straight to voicemail without ringing. However if I turn 3g off I get full reception, it should just swap over automatically... Really annoying

Absolutely no issues here, the phone actually feels a little more responsive and stable.

Same setup and I completely agree. Phone feels much more responsive.
Also, didn't get the carrier error.
