It will...
Right now what I am doing is that I m tracking the current gps position and letting the user knows the distance between him and the requested houses. And to do this you do not even need internet (3G).

Docoloco for iPhone is mostly Australian content. It's a local recommendations site where you can find the best places for pizza, coffee, beer gardens etc.

By local, I presume you mean Melbourne and suburbs. Doesn't appear to go beyond the 3xxx postcode.
Edit: OK, I see that it does if you type in another location but the dropdown is Melb. specific.

It actually lists the most active neighbourhoods for the drop down. I might change that. Most of the activity is still in Melbourne but Sydney is starting to happen too. Other cities still need quite a bit more content.

Also an Australian (or even capital city locality) news-centric app that just displays the headlines of the major news that is not "web" based or look like a website. Just text, simple GUI and links to go read the full story in text form, and another link to the full website with full content.

An iPhone version of the Broadband Usage Widgets to check your broadband usage would be cool.

None unfortunately... mostly US and one German so far.
I'm thinking of writing one though, but seeing my schedule is so crazy as it is, I'm not sure when I can complete it (if I can even complete it).

Any one know if a building inspection application is being developed for the iPhone.
If not is anyone interested in developing one. I would love to make such an application but I'm not a programer. I do know alot about building inspections though.
