Localised Movie Times App
Does anyone know of a localised move theatre app? I know that the App Store has BoxOffice, which is US-only (and that appears to be the only one it offers), but are there any web-based 'apps' for movie times, or at least any plans for a more Australia-centric offering in the App Store?

Yeah, I'd be interested in this too. BoxOffice looks great, but its useless to anyone outside the US.
Now that the AppStore doors have been thrown open to more developers we should see more apps - hopefully from Aussie developers.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Australian Apps come out. A weather app that uses BOM data would be awesome. Can't wait for the IceTV app.
For the moment you could use Entertainment Guides - MovieFIX in Safari... Not very pretty but it has the info.

Mmmm, yes. Movie times and an app that uses Home Page - Bureau of Meteorology for it's weather would be ace. For the weather app, it can use GPS and find out where you are and give you the latest temps and windspeed/direction for your exact location

Or a Movies app that uses BOM. "It's raining, go to a movie."

It'd be nice if there was one for Greater Union that provided the allocated seating selection like on their website, etc (except optimised for the iPhone of course).

BOM weather app would be very cool. Local forecasts, weather warnings, satellite and radar images all included!

Movie Showtimes - Google Search
It isnt iPhone specific and is just a web app but works quite well.

There's a great irony here - GPS works best outside, and far from well inside.
Here's a mechanism that enables iPhones to determine weather information - works for iPod Touch as well!

With the postcode/suburb search you could use the location info too look up stuff. It has built in reviews etc... would be nice.

Shane.
