Post Best iphone app for looking at textbooks (pdf)

Hey Mactalk,

i am looking for some help in finding a application that will allow me to carry around some text books that i have in a PDF format

i have seen FileMagnet in the apps store although it requires an application to be installed on a mac

i am forced to be windows only (the school issues me a laptop as part of my fees) and with my Dad's work, we are a windows only house (unfortunately!!)

in short, does anybody know if there is an app that will allow me quick access to some PDF documents stored directly on my iPhone...short of emailing them to myself

thanks in advance

matt

you can use evernote, which is cross platform, but it still won't store the pdfs on the iPhone.

well not yet anyway

Have a look at Datacase, on the app store. It isn't perfect and is a bit slow on large PDFs, but it's what I'm using. Also Stanza works for some pdfs.

Datacase works a little more nicely on a Mac, and you can transfer files over WiFi only - just for the OP to keep in mind. (that said, I love the app. Reading PDFs with it is quite nice.)
