Talking help with aptbackup pls :-)
hi everyone. I currently have a first generation iPhone on firmware 2.0.2 Jb+unlocked, and an iPhone 3g which I would like to fit is getting set up tomorrow so I can put my sim card in it tomorrow arvo or Tuesday arvo..
I read a guide which was confusing and now I can't restore my cydia apps and I CBC downloading them all again..

This is what I did:
In aptbackup I clicked 'backup'
In iTunes I backed up my iPhone (by rightclicking it)
I restored my 3g iPhone from 2.0 to 2.2 firmware using shift+click
Jailbroke using quickpwn 2.2
Downloaded aptbackup
Went into iTunes, and restored it from the backup made in step 2... Of my first gen iPhone..
Opened aptbackup and it said there is no backup to restore...?

What did I do wrong? I dont think I should have done the second last step huh?
Anyways, what can I do about it now?.. Start all over again by restoring and rejailbreaking it?..

I had the same problem, I did exacly what you did and it still didn't work, now i'm painfully installing everything again....wish i wrote a list of all m apps

3G Iphone JB with 2.2
Exactly the same with AptBackup. I couldn't get it to work, couldn't find a backup to restore.

I never found out how to do it, I just reinstalled all of them manually. I followed 3-4 guides and never worked for me..
Perhaps because I was backing up a first gen and restoring onto a 3G iPhone?.. That's the only reason I can think of..
