How to Back up my iPhone?
Hey everyone
I am upgrading from my iPhone first gen to my iPhone 3G in the next 3-4 days.. How do I backup my contacts, first of all?
Also I want to keep my custom theme, and possibly some Cydia apps+games..

Also, do you lose all this stuff when you jailbreak your iPhone? And if I was on jailbroken 2.1 firmware at the moment, and upgraded to 2.2 on Friday, would it still be jailbroken, and would I lose anything?..

lol ok do I have to sync my contacts to Microsoft contacts or something, or does it save my contacts to an iTunes file every time I sync?..

Is there a way of saving my apps+games from Cydia?..

you sync to your address book, there is no way so far to save your cydia stuff.

So in iTunes I specifically have to specify where I want to sync my contacts to? Or does it save them automatically?..

PC or Mac. That would help.

Look in iTunes. It will tell you where contacts are being synced to. Either Address Book or Windows Address Book for PC. Or Google/Yahoo/Exchange/MobileMe.

iTunes makes a backup of your iPhone with each sync. Find out where it is stored on a PC.
