iPhone Alarm doesn't always go off

hey, anyone else have this problem?

Occasionally my alarm doesn't go off.. it's usually when i change the time (eg; set it early for morning gym session or later for a sleep in)

it's happened 4 or 5 times in as many weeks for me.. has only happened since upgrading past 1.x

iPhone first gen, non jailbroken, 2.1 8gb

cheers

j

Just wondering, how do you have a 1st gen. iPhone, non jailbroken in Melbourne (I know it's off topic, but I am really interested)?

I *think* this happened to me when I first upgraded my 16Gb 1st gen to 2.x firmware - either the alarm didn't go off after changing the time or I conveniently slept through it on each occasion.

I could never narrow it down to I ended up just creating a few alarms (ie one for early starts, one for regular starts) and just turning on the one I need rather than editing the time of a single alarm.

There are quite a number of 1st gen iPhones around that are non-jailbroken - obviously they are 'unlocked' to work with non-AT&T SIM cards but under the 2.x firmware many people no longer jailbreak their phones after unlocking - myself included.

I can't speak for the OP but my first gen iPhones were all purchased from the US and imported personally back to Australia.

i'm the same buddy, i've got an alarm for the gym at 5:45, a normal alarm for 7:00 and an alarm for 9:00... i turn each one on and off depending on what i'll be doing.
some times, ill switch the 5:45 on and it won't go off, other times it will.. no difference as to why.. googling shows a few people having this issue... maybe 2.2 will fix it.. seems people with 3G iPhones have the same problem.. i was going to buy one of those to fix the issue

matthew858: unlocked but not jailbroken
