IPhone with odd connector?????

i bought a damaged iPhone on ebay very cheaply, it has a mini USB socket instead of the normal iPhone/iPod 12pin type connector - what the hell is the story with that??

i have had a search for info and cant find anything about iPhones with different connections.

i am sure its genuine, came in a box with all the accessories.

iPhones do not have MiniUSB. It's probably a fake one.
Got photos of it?

its an amazing replica then, there is nothing that would make you suspect it was fake. (other than the connector).

the box and all the paperwork is also perfect.

edit - yeah the SIM card holder has the eject button on the wrong side!

That's incredibly fake.

For starters, the whole thing looks a little ... fat.

Also, the screen is smaller than a real iPhone, and the area around the Home Button is much too large.

It doesn't even look like the picture on the front of the box!

You got duped.

yeah, dont really care though - i paid bugger all for it and i got a silicon sleeve and a leather sleeve with it which i will use.

i will also see if i can get my money back from the seller - he has an ebay shop so he may be keen to avoid problems!

its a risk you take purchasing second hand stuff online.

i am guessing it got damaged when the previous owner threw it against the wall after discovering it was a fake!

May not be as bad as you think. There are reports (googling now) that it may be possible to overwrite the fake iphone OS on these things with Google's Android.
