Having a s*it of a time restoring my phone!

I have upgraded to a 3G iPhone and I have a friend who wants my old Gen 1 iPhone. I tried to restore it back to original but have not got stuck in a world of pain!

I thought that it would be pretty simple, I was good at unlocking and jailbreaking my way up to 2.1 but now I am up s*it creek without a paddle...

This is all the stuff I have tried but I keep getting a #1600 error... Grrr... I know there are heaps of tips on restoring an iPhone however I have tried nearly all of them and am just about to give up.

If someone has a handy tip or can recommend a reliable site or guide to follow it would be REALLY appreciated!

Thanks guys!

If you want to restore back to original without Jailbreaking etc then open iTunes and hold down Shift key then click on restore and select the iPhone1,1_2.1_5F136_Restore.ipsw and it should run fine, remembering it can take a little while to restore.

If you want to Jailbreak it then follow laughingbird's BabySteps Guide to Upgrading 1st gen iPhone to FW 2.1 with Pwnage.
