Australian Optus iPhone not working in Hong Kong

I just arrived in Hong Kong and my iPhone wont connect to any networks to get phone reception.

It takes forever searching for carriers, then a massive list pops up but any selected just pops up with the message

"Your selected celular network is no longer available. You can choose a different network in settings"

Anyone know what i need to do to get it working?

I have global roaming on my account and sim, as i used it not long ago but on my old phone.

Cheers

When you switched to an iphone plan. Global Roaming is turned off by default. Any settings you had on the previous phone plan would have been reset

You need to contact Optus to get it re-enabled

Yea sorry about that, i read it after i posted and confused myself!!

Crap, so ill need to get someone to ring up on my behalf to get it turned on again.

Such a pain... I have been using global roaming for years and i rang up last year and they told me its on and it will never turn off.... they forgot the part that if u get a iPhone contract u need to enable it again...

Thanks guys...
