I don't think there is a website that does this.
Shouldn't you know whether your iPhone is legit or not? Unless it's eBay... even still, they should provide the IMEI in the listing. I have sold mobiles on eBay and they suggest posting your IMEI to show that you're not hiding anything.

Call Apple and check.

Ask for a receipt. It should be printed on it. At least, mine are. I know the Apple Retail Store prints serial numbers on the receipt.

DSE printed the IMEI on my receipt too.

Check the serial number on the Apple warranty check website. It won't tell you anything other than if the handset is under warranty. If it's a fake serial it will fail the search. https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do

The warranty doesn't necessarily start when you first activate it. It's when it was first purchased. They could be the same dates but this is not necessarily true. e.g. If I buy one today then the warranty kicks in from today, but I could leave it in the box for weeks and decide to activate it later. Apple will know when I've activated it, but they don't publish this information to the public to look up.

Activation date does not always equal purchase date/beginning of warranty period.

And it's 12 months.

You go to International Numbering Plans

Input the IMEI and check the results.

A genuine Apple iPhone - either 1st gen 2G or 2nd gen 3G - will be recognized, and the results will be clear.

Here are some of the other possible report results:-

Some Chinese counterfeit iPhones from CECT have real IMEI numbers and the result will correctly report CECT as the maker.

A fake non-compliant IMEI (which most Chinese counterfeits have) will not give you any results.

A completely fake IMEI will give you an error.

Most sellers will not give you both the IMEI and the full serial number. However, if they do give you the compete serial number - You can check it at Apple's support website. It will tell you when the phone was sold/supplied.

The first five digits of the serial number reveal when the phone left the Apple factory in Schenzen. Digits 3 through 5 are the year and the week - Eg 88809 is from week 9 2008 so is a 2g iPhone - 88837 is from week 37 2008 and is a 3G iphone.

Of course, as mentioned above, the IMEI analysis will clearly tell you if the phone is a 2G or a 3G.
