I was thinking about getting my son a 3G iPhone, and was hunting around to buy it online for him.

I can see that Virgin now sell online, but they want 24 month contracts and I really wanted him to have the full iPhone experience so I was hoping Optus would but alas they don't.

Do most of the Optus stores have stock (he'll probably want a 16 black) in now? I don't want to stuff around with ordering and waiting weeks etc.

I'll probably be the cheapskate Dad and just get him the 19 a month yes Plan and pay $62 (I think) a month over 12 months for the phone. Is that the best (read: cheapest) deal on plans around over 12 months. I won't need to gig in the unlocking fee as it's unlikely he'll want to leave Optus ever.

Vodafone are selling the iPhone online too.

My current plan is a Business one, so with a little advice from the friendly folks at Optus this morning I will have a 16GB Black delivered to my office this Friday. They can add it to my current account and we get calls to/from for free etc.
