i have a strange problem that i cant seem to resolve, none of the ringtones are working on my iPhone, they play if i preview them but when someone rings my phone only the vibrate works and there is no ringtone.

checked all the obvious things with no joy and then tried a restore to my custom 2.1 firmware, made no difference. (then spent an hour installing all my cydia/installer hacks and apps!!)

decryption suggested i put it in DFU mode and restore to an original 2.1, and then create and install a new custom firmware - this is problematic because i deleted the original 2.1 and its a pain to download where i am in italy (EDGE connection).

so i just thought i would post here in case someone had something similar happen and knew of a fix. (other than restore to Apple FW)
