iphone > set time automatically
Is this working for others?
I find I have to set the time manually. If I turn Set Automatically on, the time is incorrect (it says 11.12AM, where as it actually 8.35PM in Adelaide).
I'm on Optus with the latest firmware if that has any bearing.

I had mine on Auto and noticed that it gained an hour when daylight saving started. When I changed it to manual I noticed that it was set to Adelaide time. I changed it to Darwin and all was well.

I'm in Melbourne and with Telstra. Clock is perfect - even adjusted for daylight savings perfectly.
What I did:
Settings > General > Date & Time > 'Set Automatically' OFF
Then choose desired location, then 'Set Automatically ' ON
Settings > General > 'Location Services' ON
YMMV.

Unfortunately this ^ didn't work for me ...
Not sure what the deal is, I could have sworn auto worked previously!

OK ... set automatically is working for me again (sets the the correct time).
I believe this is because Daylight Savings would normally commence yesterday, where as this year it started three weeks early.

Shouldn't be, the iPhone firmware was recent enough to include the correct DST settings. Sounds more like it had you in the wrong location (and therefore the wrong timezone)..

It's always worked for me as well (in Aust) that is...
I'm with Telstra, and travelled around NSW, ACT, QLD, and NT - and it plays nicely.
Doesn't necessarily work in some of the South Pacific countries though.

Settings -> General -> Date & Time...
should have 24 Hour Time and Set Automatically.
Who is your telco?

I thought this setting meant "automatically get the time from the carrier"?
Worked great when roaming overseas, except for one city in Slovenia that was 1 hour out. All other cities we visited sent their time correctly over the mobile towers, so I just had to look at my iPhone and the time would always be correct
Pretty cool. It's been on mobile phones forever though.
