My iPhone is quicker on 3g at home then on wireless

It's weird. My iMac, iBook and Windows PC all run off my g wireless router. Have been for years. My iphone connects. I get the bars. I even seem to get email but browsing is pathetically slow if responding at all.

Amy suggestions???

Are you sure your broadband isn't just shit?

MobileSafari is slower than it's desktop counterparts - having a faster internet connection on your phone can help as there's more raw speed for it. 2Mbit/s rather than 1.5 on the lan

I tried a different router and it seems to be working good now. I played around with WPA encryption as apparently WEP isn't hat great for iphones.

Anyway, works good now thanks.

WEP isn't great full stop WPA is much better.

I find the same problem with my wifi at home. sometimes I turn my router off and on again and this fixes it.
there is an app called speed test and I get 200kbs on 3G and WIFI but if I turn my router off and on again it will then revert to 600kbs.
So it depends on the router

It's a feature

It's a feature. You should count yourself fortunate that Steve Jobs even *lets* you have an iPhone. Quit whinging.

Oh, okay, it's another bug. See here:

Youtube on iPhone = painfully slow loading
