SSH iphone 2.0 issues

Hey guys,
ive just updated my 1st gen iphone to 2.0. but now i cant get SSH to work...

i have installed openSSH through cydia, and have restarted many times since then.
i have also checked how much space i had (and used bosstool to move some things to the other partition)

BUT

i still get the 'connection refused' notice through Transmit.
i can ping the iPhone, so i know its not the IP

details:
root
alpine
sftp
port 22

nothing else has changed, and i cant find any other details about it.
any ideas?

Try CyberDuck?
Try Terminal sftp/ssh?
Are you keeping the iPhone awake? Make sure it doesn't fall asleep.

maybe the fingerprints have been messed up or something?

Go to Finder > Your 'Home' folder > Select 'Go' from the menu bar > Go to Folder > enter '.ssh' without the ' > Delete the file 'known_hosts'

Then try connecting using terminal, wait for it to generate the fingerprint and see how that goes.

Hmm. Can your iPhone connect to Mail, Safari etc? It's not a wireless/networking issue is it?

Yes I have a 3G now. Approx 3 weeks old. Not jailbroken. No plans to.

There have been others who have SSHed just fine on 2.0.

Have you taken Beau's advice, to delete:

~/.ssh/known_hosts file?

It is a hidden folder in your Home (~) directory.

yeah. three times before that.....
(ive made them all visible on my mac as well...)

ive searched around for solutions, and found all of those, but it doesnt want to work.
its not URGENT... I'd just like to try and get some apps back on (it is jailbroken after all! why not use it )

- tried connecting through:
transmit
fugu
cyberduck

- removed .ssh/known_hosts 3 times
(and of course tried again using the others.

- details i have been using:
user: root
password: alpine
SFTP (SSH)
port 22

- refreshed network connection on the iphone, and restarted it many times.

i am using a network powered by two airport express'
.... ill try a dlink one, because it seems like the sort of thing that apple would do to block it.... (or it might not work properly... who knows)

Install BossPrefs.

This then allows you to turn on or off SSH
I went through the same shit yesterday.

I was going to add the following, but you're too quick:
Noted that if i quit out of BossPrefs, that i couldn't get into the phone.
But if I left the BossPrefs open, it would work.

NFI why, and YMMV
