Iphone 3G in cotinuous boot after jailbreak attempt

I have tried to jailbreak mt iphone using the new pnage 2.1. It is sucessful right up till Itunes says your Iphone will reboot and Itunes will recognise your phone. The phone enters a continual boot up routine with the apple logo continually flashing.
I have to continually restore with the legit apple firmware. I have followed white iphones guide to the letter.

Any help would be great

I would suggest pressing The home button and power button and putting the phone in DFU mode then doing a restore in I tunes this will take it back to original state. Have you got the latest Itunes 7,7

Yes I have latest Itunes. Yes I know i can restore to original state but I would really like to jailbreak this phone. I have tried several times but each time I get the same result.

mat ei would restore and keep your fingers crossed it will work

Jailbreaking this early in the game is risky. also pretty much pointless until more apps come out for cydia and the installer 2.0 is released

Same thing happened to me when I updated my first gen iphone. I eventually got it into dfu mode and started again. The second time it worked, Luckily it worked the first time I updated my new 3g iphone. The only thing that happened with the first one, I forgot to click the advanced button and it went through the process on the beginner button. Second time around was with the advanced button selected. Not too sure if that was the problem.

I've jailbroken my new 3g iphone so I can put my own custom message alerts on it and the ringtone. I have also changed the locking tone, I couldn't stand using it with the stock standard stuff.
