Using iPhone on university Wifi, ie Monash Uni
Hey Guys

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck connecting to Monash Wifi yet. I asked the It guy at the help desk and he said i would have to try and figure it out on my own. I don't really know where to start other than i could use the vpn client on my laptop and try and copy stuff over. but other than that pretty lost.

If it is anything like USYD, you're out of luck mate.

Even with iPhone 3G and 2.0 firmware, it doesn't work. At least for me.

I have tried lots of things and it is no go for external internet sites. I am able to connect using the Cisco VPN/IPSec on the iPhone 3G and am connected with an IP etc but unable to do anything else.

I am missing the proxy... which never gets asked.
