How can I stop iPhoto opening every time I hook up my iPhone to my mac?

Every time I connect my iPhone to my mac, iPhoto opens and asks if I want to import photos (which I have already imported). It is annoying and slow - but I can't work out hot to stop this happening.

Can anyone help?

Cheers

Go to prefs in iPhoto and tell it not to do anything when a camera is connected.

Thanks guys. Option 1 is easiest, but not ideal as I like iPhoto opening when I plug in a camera; just not when I plug in my iPhone - but I will probably take that option, as it is easier than writing some script...

Unhappy Hmmm - slight problem

OK, now I tried to go to preferences and tell iPhoto not to open when a camera is connected - but there is NO SUCH OPTION in my version of iPhoto (admittedly the mac I'm syncing on is now nearly 2 years old).

So guess I either write some script, which I find too scary, or just live with the annoying and slow opening iPhoto issue.

Thanks m_242 - the image capture approach has worked, my problem is solved.
