Battery life & Exchange sync
2 issues ive noticed with my new iphone 3g
1. Wiith push email on i go through battery in 1 day (full charge over night, off the charger at 7am, 20% warning at 8pm). Few calls (10) and thats about it. Anyone else noticing this?
2. Exchange push email working great, but, i just noticed that the outlook inbox on my phone is only displaying emails from the last 48 hrs, missing about 3 weeks of email after the last 2 days?
Really need to solve item 2 as I cant live wihtout exchange working
Any thoughts appreciated...

I go through a full battery in 24 hours, but atleast 3 hours of that is iPod, I check twitteriffic far too often, I have Gmail fetching every 15 minutes, and I surf Facebook when bored... Oh, and I make calls too...

Despite reading today that iPhone's battery is better than other 3G leading contenders... I'm disappointed with the battery life.
Ideally I'd like a more accurate battery level / reader!!!!
I'm never sure how much is there...
haven't been making alot of calls each day - and I do have push emails coming in that I'm checking / sending a few times a day.

Yeah I am getting similar battery times. I exchange and mobile me pushing, my direct line at school is diverted to my mobile and I make 15-20 calls a day on it.

Some sensible - and some silly suggestions.

are you using ms exchange or a zimbra host?
i've been looking into zimbra, and there seems to be an issue where activesync isn't closing the connection properly, and this leads to increased battery use.
not sure if this issues is exclusive to zimbra or if it effects activesync in general.
