Calendar colour problems

I have 3 calendars in iCal, and these are synched with the iPhone. Only one of the three calendar's colours match up between the iPhone and on the Mac. The other two are different colours. Is there any way to match these up?

Apparently there's no relation between the colour of the calendar in iCal and the colour it's assigned on your iPhone. Instead, the first calendar added is always the same colour, and so is the second, third, fourth etc. Add five or six dummy calendars and you'll see the order in which they're used. Then sync your calendars one by one, using dummy calendars to skip the colours you don't want.

Mine are not matched. I'm not too bothered, as long as the info is there!

No MobileMe here.

Mine weren't matched up when I synced the calendars through iTunes, but as soon as I turned on MobileMe they became the same colours.

I have found a solution for mobile me users.

Go into the mobileme online calendar and click on the calendar you want to change the colour of in the bar on the left hand side of the screen.

Then click on the action button (to the right of the day/week/month buttons, the one with the little cog wheel in it). Go into calendar info.

Change the colour of the calendar to something else, and click ok. Then repeat the process changing the calendar colour back to the original colour.

I have six calendars. I repeated this process for all my calendars and instantly all the calendars in my iphone are correct.

I have no idea how this fixes the problem, but it worked just fine for me. I have a feeling it has something to do with plugging the iphone into mac via USB when you first get the phone (probably to charge the battery) and then iTunes goes and tries to sync your shit and fucks it in the process. So then when you go to start syncing via mobile me, the calendars are already there, but colours have already been assigned (wrongly).

Sorry but I dont know of a solution if you are syncing direct from mac to iphone via USB

For info I am running the following:
MacBook OS 10.4.11
iPhone 3G
Mobileme subscription

Unhappy my colors ...

.... don't match either. I don't have mobile-me and I'm not in a position to get it anytime soon.
Here's my problem: every time I sync my phone the colors on the calendar change!! I've tried rearranging the calendars and that didn't help because when the colors show up on my phone there is no set pattern to them. One time it's orange, red, red, purple, green, red, blue, etc. The next time it was red, orange, orange, purple, well you get the idea. HELP!! I'm a very visual person and I need my colors corrected because it's making my head spin!

Ditto! If someone finds a solution for this posting it here would be very appreciated.
