iPhone opening iTunes

Ok my request seems to be the opposite of every other one I have managed to find.

I had my iPhone running 1.1.3 and everytime I plugged it in iTunes would open up and everything would sync.
I upgraded to 1.1.4 with ZiPhone (Yes I know I'm adopting it late) and now when I plug it in I have to manually start iTunes for the sync to proceed.

I have checked all options in iTunes that I could find and I have enabled automatically sync when iPhone is connected.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you need the iTunes Helper service running.

Have a look inside System Preferences > Accounts > (Your account) > Login items.

It is in there. Nothing has been changed in iTunes (well not directly by me anyway).

The only difference is that I upgraded the iPhone's firmware from 1.1.3 > 1.1.4 using ZiPhone.

Upgraded iTunes?

Maybe you should restore your 1.1.4 and use something other than ZiPhone, e.g. iLibertyX.

Just used iLibertyX after a fresh restore and I still have the same issue. It did achieve getting rid of the link to the blog which is a plus (Yes I know it is easily removed)

Try another Mac and see.

That, or just launch iTunes manually... keep it in the Dock/running. It isn't too much of a hassle?
