Nothing apart from not having a sim card in there, i just had the 1.1.4 phone and followed a guide. I forget where i got it from, but you can simply google it.

I installed most of the payloads, but i dont think its necessary.

Im fairly sure that itunes will give you an error of some sort. Just ignore it. The program will close itunes when it begins to run, and it shows lots of text on the iphone while it does its thing, but just ignore it.

Do you have a funny SIM card, say a NEXTG one or something that would require a specific type of phone?

It's a newish Telstra card, but I also tried it with my brothers older SIM card and had the same issue...

Just read somewhere that the "re-flash EDGE/WiFi/Bluetooth" payload has a signal fix in it, that is down loading which I'll give a go, then I'm going to try Pawned (firmware file is currently downloading).

I had no trouble with iliberty, but I didn't install any payloads.
Did have a major hardware problem however and couldn't see the screen properly, still managed to make calls with a Telstra sim though.

I did find that these guys were very helpful and friendly.

Victory!

Restoring the iPhone, re-enabling jail break and ticking the Edge wifi thingy has fixed my issue!

Everything is now peachy!

It has to be TOLD to do it. ziphone has a number of options. Lots of people just hit "do it all" and dont think about the possible consequences. My baseband and bootloader have not been touched. And my IMEI matches my phone, not some arbitrary # decided on by geohot or whoever.

Having said that, I'll now say this. My experience is with up to v 2.6b and I have none with v3. Perhaps that is the version causing issues.
