Easier option than the guide

add wpool.com/iphone to your repository in installer, and install everything under localization (1.1.4)

sounds obvious, but is the number you're receiving a message from a contact saved in your phone?

if not of course it will not recognize a name to the number.

wow, did u really just say that, obviously its stored in my phone as i call/sms them.
i get the whole +61 4xx xxx xxx comingup for some numbers, even after the wpool 114 localisation files were installed ...
its the only bug i can fault with the phone ...
then again ... its not really for australian use :P
when i got it, the iPhone was on 1.1.2 i had iworld, that worked beautifully !!!

I have found similar issue also it was SMS from land line & one friend who has a phone on some Optus / Virgin plan. Both are not the std. Localization issue is partially buggy in Australia due to several formats being used. Europe uses the international format & North America uses a 11 digit format. And good old Oz land is using a mixiture of both formats depending on the phone equipment at the excahnge. So not always even with the Wpool Oz local fix will you get a match.

I had the same issue as the OP. In the end i uninstalled all the wpool localisation fixes, rebooted the phone and re-installed. Everything was fine from then on

Just been trying to sort out the +61 on my iPhone.

Have installed the wpool.com/iphone, installed the 3 files in the 1.14 Localisation folder, restarted the phone and still doesn't work.

I have the Virgin Mobile icon appear now but sms still gives me the +61 prefix.

I have uninstalled and installed it again a couple of times as well but still doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Thanks
