iPhone/Itunes pairing issue

G'day

I have just unlocked my brand new iPhone using Ziphone which was amazingly straight forward. The one issue im having, every-time i connect my iPhone and open itunes to sync an error message appears "Unable to connect to the iPhone, because the pairing record is missing" .

I have googled the issue and everyone suggest its a simple fix of restarting both the iphone and mac which i have done several times and still i am having the same issue. I have also logged in as a different user and it will connect to itunes fine. Would it make any difference that i have my itunes library on an external HDD

My last resort is to do a fresh OS X install which i've been meaning to do for a while and was what i planned on doing anyway before my new MBP arrives but would prefer not to do that atm.

Any suggestions please?

Try closing iTunes, going to your home folder then > Library > preferences and remove com.apple.iTunes.plist

log out and then back in.

Try moving Userhome/Library/Lockdown to your desktop, reboot and try again

I Ended up solving the issue the hard way, re-installing leopard which solved my problems, thank you .mac & time machine.

I appreciate the help, still makes no sense why it was doing it.

Geez

Reinstalling is going a bit far!
you could've deleted the user account and created it again, then restored docs from time machine

Oh well, a fresh install never hurt anyone!

I did a similar thing weeks ago, but that was because my partition table was corrupt.

Reinstalled and restored from Time Machine
