no, unlocking is different and perfectly legal. got no problem with unlocking. same with installer.app. If people want to make free apps for iPhone/iTouch then all the power to them.
using these tools to pirate apps that are for purchase on the iTunes store is a different matter altogether.
Unlocking the iPhone/itouch is akin to early attempts to hack intel macs to run windows. Wanting the $25 apps for free is akin to having a mac but wanting the latest ilife for free.

You see though, the problem I'm having also, is now I can't get the January Software Update to come up in iTunes! I was prepared to purchase it too Anyone care to shed light on this as well by any chance?
