So you mean you hold option (Mac) or shift (PC) while opening iTunes?

You didn't explain it very well...

Sorry really tired was up late last night working on some other iPhone stuff.

I mean when you have iTunes open & phone connected. Hold the option key "mac" or shift key "pc" when selecting upgrade or restore. This will give you the option to select any firmware. Not making you take the latest offer from Apple.

I hope this make sense now ?

Thanks Jaffa I know it was about but thought folks still might not know. ESP newbee
