Do you have another iPod usb cable floating around, or can u burrow one from a friend or neighbour for the weekend? That way you can just plug it into your computer and let it charge.

I think OpenSSH does not have that "sucking battery" problem anymore.

It still does suck quite a bit of battery if you do the math as its a process thats constantly running and waiting for a connection, as well as broadcasting it's Bonjour presence.

If I'm wrong someone correct me but I'm pretty sure thats the way it works.

Will this kill my battery?
No. Unlike other ssh packages for the iPhone, this package does not have a constantly running daemon. It is simply added to the list of connections that the inetd daemon (which always runs on your iPhone) listens for. If it sees you trying to connect, it will start up sshd to handle it. When you disconnect, the sshd process goes away. This is exactly how it runs on Apple laptops. So, no, this package will not kill your battery if left turned on because, in truth, there is nothing actually running. My package is the only one that can claim this, to the best of my knowledge.

Can't you get an iPod USB cable? That should work... iPod touch cable or maybe a nano one.

You don't need the AC charger (or Dock) to charge.

Yeah just buy an iPod dock cable and connect it to a USB port on your computer. It's the same cable included with the iPhone.

Digilife on Hay Street Mall will sell the iPod cable, or a Nextbyte store if there's one closer. You should also be able to get it from David Jones, Myer, Target or Big W.

"OMFG" why are you creating another topic?

Have you even searched the forum looking to see if anyone else has had this problem?
