Unlocked 1.0.2 iPhone to Hardware Unlocked 1.1.3 iPhone
As the title suggests I have an unlocked 1.0.2 iPhone and being lazy I don't really want to deal with software unlocks and the rigmarole that that entails, so I'm wondering on the process of how to get it from where it is now to a Hardware Unlocked (turbosim, stealthsim etc) iPhone and if it really is a good option for us in Australia.
I'm assuming that a hardware solution makes the phone just like those in the states as far as jail-breaking new firmware and the like, yes?

Hardware unlock is going to cause as much trouble as doing a software unlock. You still need to jailbreak etc even with a xxxSIM solution.

If you have turbosim/stealthsim sim spoofing unlock then you're good to go up to 1.1.3, though I would seriously recommended against upgrading to 1.1.3 and instead just stay on 1.1.2.

A quick rundown on how to do is:

1. Upgrade your phone to 1.1.1
2. Jailbreak via jailbreakme.com
3. Upgrade to 1.1.2
4. Jailbreak via OktoPrep.

Any reason for you recommending against upgrading to 1.1.3?
One of the main reasons Im keen to upgrade to 1.1.3 is so I dont have to use summberboard for extra apps; summerboard makes my phone lag.
